I am a trainee solicitor who deals with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases. My experience in dealing with bridging loans and buy to let properties allows me to work on Islamic Finance purchases and refinances with confidence. At Batley Law, I work with clients from quote to completion and also deal with the post completion on any purchase files. This way, clients can have the best experience because they know who they are dealing with from the first moment they call our office

I enjoy telling a client that we have completed on the purchase of their property because I understand how stressful house buying can be – even before they instruct a solicitor. I particularly enjoy dealing with purchase files because it is always interesting to see new houses, what type of properties people buy, and it even gives a small insight into the housing market and how far different budgets can take you in different areas.

I take pride in providing excellent communication and both clients and agents can expect to receive nothing less. I always aim to meet deadlines, provide timely updates when promised and rather than litter emails with legal jargon, I take care to simplify and explain any complex legal issues to clients and agents. Finally, I aim to be proactive and work side by side with all those involved in a transaction so the process goes smoothly from start to finish. This way, the client will never need to worry about if their case is handled effectively but when they do have concerns, I am always one call away.

In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, playing football and travelling. I enjoy going to Morocco to spend time with family and visit the beach, especially in summer. In the UK, I love taking my old Honda to the Peak District every other week when the sun is out to enjoy the winding roads and endless views of the countryside.

I am proud of becoming a trainee solicitor because it feels like all the years of work and sacrifice are coming to fruition. One more hurdle and then I can call myself a solicitor and I won’t need to return to study again!

The toughest file I have worked on was a bridging auction purchase where the loan was being secured on the client’s current property. We managed to complete this in a few weeks despite the lender’s enquiries changing even at the last minute and the very tight deadline. The client got to move into their new home and completing on that file felt very rewarding.
