Pragmatic, forward thinking and pro-active, Waseem has built a solid reputation in the field of asylum and immigration over the past 15 years.
In the past, Waseem has undertaken the role of visiting lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, lecturing on the undergraduate law degree programme.

Naheed Akhtar
Head of Business Immigration
Naheed joined Batley Law Solicitors in May 2023 as an Immigration Consultant and specialises in Business Immigration.
Handling complex immigration matters for individuals and corporations, she is extremely passionate about this area of law and has achieved excellent results for her clients. Naheed can assist in all aspects of sponsor licence applications and management, visa application
processing, immigration compliance, auditing, training and challenging enforcement action.

Cocobb Luqman

Cocobb qualified as a Solicitor in 2017 and holds accreditation with the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker (Level 2).
Cocobb Luqman is a qualified Solicitor and part of the Immigration team at Batley Law. Cocobb has practised in multiple areas of law before specialising in Asylum and Immigration over the past 3 years.
Cocobb is a passionate, approachable and professional solicitor who always endeavours to achieve the best outcome for her clients. Cocobb has been described by her colleagues and clients as dedicated, and conscientious, with an eye for detail.

Samuel Lovell
Senior Immigration Caseworker
Samuel has spent the last 7 years working with asylum seekers and refugees in both a legal and advisory capacity. He now joins Batley Law as a Senior Caseworker.
Samuel read Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford, graduating with a Law degree. He spent the first two years of his legal career as a Trainee and then Assistant Immigration Caseworker, before taking the next half-decade to deliver signposting, advice, and guidance to recently granted refugees on the Positive Move On Support Service.
He maintains a keen personal interest in geopolitics, economics, and philosophy.
